7.5. Interpolation#

Interpolation is a feature that allows you to transfer results from a case onto a different mesh. This is particularly useful when you want to:

  • refine the mesh

  • run a slightly altered geometry, such as containing flaps

  • transition from a BET Disk simulation into a fully-resolved sliding interface simulation for rotors or propellers

New mesh can either exist within the same project as the case or be a part of a different one. When interpolating, the parameters can be modified, which allows for redefining boundary conditions to match new mesh boundaries.
