tidy3d.RLCNetwork#
- class RLCNetwork[source]#
Bases:
Tidy3dBaseModel
Class for representing a simple network consisting of a resistor, capacitor, and inductor. Provides additional functionality for representing the network as an equivalent medium.
- Parameters:
attrs (dict = {}) β Dictionary storing arbitrary metadata for a Tidy3D object. This dictionary can be freely used by the user for storing data without affecting the operation of Tidy3D as it is not used internally. Note that, unlike regular Tidy3D fields,
attrs
are mutable. For example, the following is allowed for setting anattr
obj.attrs['foo'] = bar
. Also note that Tidy3D` will raise aTypeError
ifattrs
contain objects that can not be serialized. One can check ifattrs
are serializable by callingobj.json()
.resistance (Optional[PositiveFloat] = None) β Resistance value in ohms.
capacitance (Optional[PositiveFloat] = None) β Capacitance value in farads.
inductance (Optional[PositiveFloat] = None) β Inductance value in henrys.
network_topology (Literal['series', 'parallel'] = series) β Describes whether network elements are connected in
series
orparallel
.
Notes
Implementation is based on the equivalent medium introduced by [1].
